A couple of Napoleonic games – one with the French versus an allied British, Spanish and Portuguese army. The other was a Sharp Practice game, pitting the French against the Austrians.

ECW - Pikeman’s Lament
Not so much Pikeman's Lament, more Horseman's Lament. In this exciting encounter, mounted troops chased one another up and down the high street of some undeserving Midlands town, much to the consternation of the local populous. I'm not sure which side one, nor whether that side would have known that they had won. Horsemanship and rabble-rousing ribaldry were the true victors, I imagine. Rules used were the popular Osprey title 'Pikeman's Lament'.
Warhammer 40,000 Abominations
The atrociously diabolical Necrons narrowly defeated a brave Blood Angel Space Marine detachment. Indeed the Marine player ‘forgot’ some key special rules and stratagems which, if remembered, could have delivered a victory for the Emperor’s shock troops (or at least that what he claims anyway).

Maori Wars - Based on Ruapekapeka 1846
In this first game, set in the 1840s, the British, spearheaded by the 58th Foot, assaulted the well constructed and expertly defended Pa. The attack met stubborn Maori resistance and failed to break into the sophisticated Pa fortifications. Maori placed in ambush also proved to be a menace on the flanks.
Rules used were amended Muskets and Tomahawks. The figures are all Empress Miniatures.

Heart of Darkness - 19th Century African Adventure
In this game, a force of Arab slavers are victorious against the good guys, who were trying to stop them From conducting their evil trade.
The great looking scenery is all purpose built and homemade. The rules used are Osprey’s ‘The Men Who Would be King‘. The figures are mostly Wargames Foundry and North Star.
