Probably the most grimdark, 'out-there', '40K-ish' Warhammer 40,000 armies faced off against each other. 1,000 points on a 4' x 4' table.
This was more enjoyable and manageable than the 2,000 point slogging matches of old.
More importantly, they look cool and were fun to paint!
A giant abandoned space hulk is fought over by roaming bands of scavenging bands of Dark Eldar and renegade teams of Space Marines.

A couple of battles played on a new 6x4 reversible battle mat from battlemat.eu. This one has a ruined imperial city on one side and a 'fall-out’ zone on the reverse side. Two mats for the price of one (almost)!
