Imaginations, Kaiserbosh and Midgard

In an 'Imaginations' the two waring factions of the 'Basque Civil War' - the 'Constitutional Republicans' versus the 'Republican Constitutionalists' - went head to head. One side won. Which one, is anybody's guess.

Some vintage 20mm WWI action using Kaiserbosh rules, dating from 1992, which saw a British victory over...well, the Kaiser's "Bosh".

We also had Carthaginians versus Celts in another Midgard game. The Punic army was victorious because (or despite) of fielding a war elephant.

Midgard - Vikings Brutalised by Brutal Ogres

In a scenario that very much favoured the crude and coarse Ogres, the Vikings suffered terribly at the hands of these uncouth brutes. The oafish Ogres fielded a relatively sophisticated array of units, including a monstrosity, heavy artillery and hand-held cannons! The Vikings bravely attacked but were swept aside by these loutish slobs.

A Brace of Dark Ages/Medieval Games

Pagan Saxons take on a warband of Norsemen. The Saxons were aided by an enslaved Ogre - Grendell (acting as a level 2 hero). He was forced to fight for his supper, but mainly just stomped about in a swamp for most of the game.

The highlights of the game were two hero challenges. The Norse commander slew the Saxon level 2 hero(es) - the brothers Hengist AND Horsa. Later the Saxon warlord slew the level 2 Norse hero. All in all, the Saxons achieved a hard fought victory.

Byzantines defeat a foce of western Norman knights. Most figures are by Fireforge Games.
