Imaginations, Kaiserbosh and Midgard

In an 'Imaginations' the two waring factions of the 'Basque Civil War' - the 'Constitutional Republicans' versus the 'Republican Constitutionalists' - went head to head. One side won. Which one, is anybody's guess.

Some vintage 20mm WWI action using Kaiserbosh rules, dating from 1992, which saw a British victory over...well, the Kaiser's "Bosh".

We also had Carthaginians versus Celts in another Midgard game. The Punic army was victorious because (or despite) of fielding a war elephant.

"The Great Skedaddle" - First Manassas/Bull Run, 1861

"The Great Skedaddle" refers to the chaotic retreat of Union forces back to Washington DC after their defeat at the battle of First Bull Run on 21st July 1861. Panic-stricken soldiers, intermingled with civilian spectators, fled along the road together, turning the Union offensive into a disorganised, embarrassing rout.

This game was inspired by a display game put on by Richard Crawley at the Hammerhead wargame show in Newark this year. It assumes that the C.S.A had enough fresh troops to pursue the yankees - hopefully all the way to DC! This, of course, wasn't the case in the real battle.

In our hypothetical refight, the Union forces managed to hold off the Confederates quite effectively, with most of their units 'successfully routing' off the board!
