This was a real nail biter of a match, that wasn't settled until the last shot of the game. The Soviets pressed their attack remorselessly, taking heavy casualties in the process, but eventually overcame their American opponents. The stars of the show were the Russian AA 'Gophers' who shot down three A10s (the final one being shot down by an infantry 'Gremlin' missile team). The disappointments of the day were the M1A1s who only arrived on the table too late to save the day.

French-Indian Wars
A fierce encounter in which the British regulars managed to secure the central stockade, enabling them to win the game. Much of the hard work was actually done by the Indians, who were fighting on both sides. Rules used were Muskets and Tomahawks.

English Civil War - Pikeman's Lament
Fantastic to see ECW make an appearance again, this time with the popular Pikeman's Lament rules. All played on a great looking table with excellent 28mm miniatures.
Firefight! - Mantic Games sci fi
Elite Enforcers decimated an army of Marauding Orks. The Enforcer player made better use of his superior firepower and capitalised on better command roles at the start of each turn.
This was our first trial of the 'Firefight' system, by Mantic Games. So far, so good. It seems to give a good game and we got up to speed relatively quickly. The Command Point mechanism is a great feature, as is the alternative unit movement system, which really makes you think tactically.

The Unsophisticated vs The Possessed - Orcs vs Cultists
A force of monstrously unsophisticated Orcs are defeated by a determined detachment of brainwashed - and in some cases - possessed, Cultists, who have fallen under the spell of the dark forces of Chaos.
More harmless fun using the Xenos Rampant rules. The rules worked better this time as we had created more playable armies.

Xenos Rampant - inaugural game
Necrons defeat a band of depraved, daemonic possessed Chaos Cultists in our first game of Xenos Rampant. The rules follow the same mechanisms of the popular Lion Rampant rules by Osprey Publishing/ Daniel Mersey.
