This game pitted an army of Space Marines (Blood Angels and Ultra Marines) against the ghastly Necrons. Needless to the say, the Marines couldn't get to grips with the Necrons, and were easily defeated by the heinous 'living metal' entities that have the annoying ability to frequently 'respawn', even after that have been supposedly killed!

Tons of heaving Napoleonic Horse Flesh
This week's game was an interesting play test of one of the club's member's speed-play Napoleonic rules. Napoleonics is very popular in the club and we do like to get a 'lot of toys' on the table when we get the chance, as most members specialise in one army of the period, or another. Nevertheless, we have never managed to find a set of rules that enable us to adequately finish these large games in a club night (2-2.5 hours).
These rules introduced a number of interesting mechanics to speed up play including a straightforward melee system that includes a roll on a probability table of results, application of a few key modifiers and immediate delivery of combat results. They did seem to capture the grand sweep of mounted combat of the era and were certainly quick. The real test will be with the introduction infantry, artillery and shooting.

Warhammer 40k Adventures
The first selection of photos features some refurbished vintage Chaos Space Marines vs Eldar, complete with Terminators, Khorne Berzerkers, Wraithlords and an Eldar Avatar.
The second selection of photos consist of some images taken at the Games Workshop unit on Friar Lane, Nottingham. They ran a couple of sessions for my two lads to get them up to speed with the 40K rules. The sessions were excellent and the GW staff couldn't have been more helpful.
